Dynawave®: Pilot Plant

In process applications, there may be various unknown parameters which are required for the design of a scrubbing system, e.g. particle load, sizing and removal efficiency, gas concentrations, process fluctuations, reagent utilisation and effluent composition. Where these parameters are unknown and critical for the system, we can utilise our DynaWave® pilot plant to firm up on these details, as well as to produce effluent from the system which can be used to identify possible uses for the effluent.

Our pilot plant is mounted on a double axle trailer and consists of a scrubbing vessel complete with in-situ oxidation with an integral booster fan to overcome the system dP. The circulation pump for the feed to the RJ nozzles is also mounted on the trailer and all the equipment is controlled automatically from a local PLC mounted in the control box.

The pilot plant is constructed from FRP, with the inlet barrel and ID fan from SS 316. The plant can handle around 600 Am3/h, but this vary depending on the specific application.

The plant is equipped with two RJ stages and can therefore run on either one or two stages, depending on the specific requirements.

Gas collection for feed to the pilot plant, is very important, especially for particulate loading and removal efficiency measurements, to ensure a representative sample is collected. Recommendations for the sample stream sizing and location will be provided for the best performance and reliable data collection for full scale design.

It takes approximately 4 weeks to prepare the pilot plant for delivery to site.
